27.4.2021    ‘Pak-Afghan Army’ clashed in Spin Boldak, Kandahar

Spin Boldak border has reportedly been closed to traffic following clashes between Afghan and Pakistani forces. Yahya Alawi, a spokesman to 205th Atal Corps told the media that the clashes took place in the village of Loghman near the Afghanistan and Pakistan border in Spin Boldak. The clashes continued from 9:00 am Monday morning until 10:20 am before noon, a government employee is reportedly wounded in the skirmish. A dispute went violent when Pakistani military wanted to install barb wire inside the Afghan soil. Number of Pakistani casualties were not yet reported. Meanwhile security sources in Kandahar said that the Taliban have destroyed a bridge belonging to Delhi dam According to the officials the incident happened on Sunday in Shah-Walikot district of Kandahar province. Taliban destroyed the bridge by detonating mines, the bridge used to connect the Dam to the city, Taliban has not yet commented on the incident. This comes as Abdul Ghani Noori, a former district governor for Golran district, NDS chief for the district, and a soldier were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb. In another security incident unknown gunmen killed a police officer in the city of Firuzkuh in Ghor province. The incident happened on Monday afternoon, near policeman’s house, security officials said. The motive behind the attack is still unknown, and an investigation is underway into the incident.

27.4.2021    Blast in mosque causes 20 casualties among Taliban in Herat

At least 20 Taliban insurgents are believed to have been wounded and killed in Herat as they were placing explosives in vests designed for suicide attacks, officials said on Sunday. Herat officials said a powerful explosion at a mosque in the Pashtun-e-Zarghun district of the province has killed and wounded 20 Taliban fighters. Herat Governor Sayed Abdul Wahid Qatali said that around 11 a.m, a number of Taliban fighters were preparing suicide vests and roadside bombs in a mosque in the village of Marabad in Pashtun-Zarghoon district when the blast rocked the place. The governor of Herat added that it was not yet clear exactly how many Taliban were killed and how many were wounded. The blast is said to have also destroyed a large amount of explosives hidden in the mosque. According to officials, the Taliban surround the Pashtun Zarghoon district market following the blast. 27.4.2021    16 injured as mortars hit a religious gathering in Kunar

At least 16 people got injured when mortars hit a religious gathering in Kunar province on Monday, officials confirmed. Accorging to the provincial authorities, a Holy Quran reciting conference was underway in the provincial administration compound when mortars hit the venue. The conference was sponsored by the Presidential Palace and was organized by the Ministry of Haj and Religious Affairs on a regional level in Kunar. Kunar governor Mohammad Iqbal Saeed said the rockets were fired by the Taliban insurgents. He confirmed 13 young participants of the Holy Quran reciting conference and three administrators are among the injured. The head of public hospital in Kunar, Attaullah Safi has described the state of three injured people as critical. The Taliban have not commented on this incident.
